A masia is a type of rural houses common to Catalonia region.
This snazzy mansion is situated in the core of Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, near the Port of Balis, famous for its sport activities like golf, tennis and horse riding, and next to Sant Vicenç de Montalt, one of the most prestigious areas in Maresme.
The property is located in the highest part of the mountain above the rest of the buildings, with a spectacular sea view. The masia was built almost 500 years ago and is more than one thousand two hundred square feet, without counting the terraces and the attached buildings.
The interior of the house have been updated several times, being now in an almost original state, with centenaries soils, high cellings with exposed wooden beams, fireplace, and windows covered with iron bars. And even the furniture makes you feel a connection to the past.
Like the majority of masias the orientation of the main facade is to the south. The main door is wide and high, with iron bars. Behind there is a stone stair with three steps in the form of a circle. Through this door we enter into a hall that serves as a central axis and where the main staircase is situated. To the right we find the entertainment area, a large room for games that communicates with the private chapel of the house. To the east of the hall there is a living room with a lovely fireplace as well as the dining area for numerous guests. All these spaces have the same orientation to the south as well as the entrance of the house. To the north are only oriented the kitchens, pantry and home services. On the second floor there is a large central corridor that leads to all bedrooms and to a terrace at the end, from where you have access to the old laundry. All the bedrooms are very large and some of them are connected with an inner door. Several bedrooms have sinks to wash in the room. On this floor we also find two large bathrooms.
The third floor allows you to configure more bedrooms and living rooms under the roof.
Thanks to the location, size and authenticity this house is perfect to create a boutique hotel with true historic charm and elegance.
