Which internationally famous celebrities have chosen the Iberian Peninsula for their summer residence destination?
Not long ago, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie came to Spain in order to purchase a house in the Costa del Sol. The couple stayed in a five-star hotel in a town called Casares. They went to one of the local real estate agencies in order to buy a summer villa where all the family could go for vacation starting from next summer.
Soft and warm climate, the Mediterranean Sea, excellent food and wine, picturesque mountain landscapes and Spanish lifestyle attract many celebrities yearly. Here are just some of the stars who own real estate in Spain.
George Clooney bought a big house in Marbella. The villa with four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a spacious living-room, a pool hall and a wine cellar cost the star about 4 million euros.
Antonio Banderas owns a villa in Los Monteros. It is a house with six bedrooms, a four-hectare parcel, a private beach and a swimming pool. Antonio purchased the house for 5 millon euros more than 15 years ago.
A villa of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones is situated in Mallorca. The villa called S´Estaca is located in a luxury area of the island and is considered one of the most magnificent houses in the region. The star couple loves Mallorca and comes here to rest and to play golf with their friends.
Actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin often come to Spain for summer holidays. Gwyneth owns a parcel close to Talverna de la Reina town and plans to build a house for her family. The actress is carried away by the Spanish lifestyle and the Mediterranean cuisine and tries to spend as much time as possible in her Spanish residence.
Kylie Minogue purchased real estate in Catalonia in 2009. Her villa is located in Tossa de Mar, the province of Girona, the Costa Brava
Claudia Schiffer has been spending her summer holidays in Spain since she was a child, she bought her own big house for 6 million euros in 1998. The villa is located on a hill, in a place called Cap Andritxol, Camp de Mar, on an enormous parcel of 40 thousand hectares.
Boris Becker has owned a villa in Mallorca for 15 years already. This splendid house with one thousand square metres of living space is located on a 30-hectare parcel. The famous tennis player purchased it for 10 million euros.
Cristiano Ronaldo bought an enormous villa with seven bedrooms for 10 million euros. The house is under surveillance 24/7 and is equipped with infrared cameras, it is one of the most protected houses in Madrid.
Shakira and Gerard Pique live in one of the most prestigious districts of Barcelona, Sarria Sant Gervasi.
Lionel Messi also owns real estate in Catalonia. The football player bought a luxurious duplex with four bedrooms in a prestigious area of Sarria not long ago.
Neymar rents real estate in Barcelona. A splendid 1,000-square-metre apartment in a prestigious district of Pedralbes costs him 18,000 euros per month. According to the star, it will be his temporary home till he finds a house for all his family in the Costa Garraf.
