Christmas holidays have come to their end and many of us are already back to work and daily errands. In order to cheer you up, we have decided to create a compilation of the most interesting events to take place in Barcelona in 2017. “Un Thyssen nunca visto” exposition

- Venue: CaixaForum, Avinguda de Francesc Ferrer i Guàrdia, 6-8.
“Un Thyssen nunca visto” exposition invites you to get to see some of the masterpieces of such artists as Angelico, Bellini, Brueghel, Rubens, Rembrandt, Cézanne, Pissarro, Canaletto, Picasso, Chagall, and Hopper. The paintings have been picked out from the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum collection and have been distributed over five theme-based spaces: Christian iconography, portraits, interiors, landscapes and urban landscapes.

“Swan Lake” Ballet (“El lago de los cisnes”)

Swan lake is a magnificent Imperial Russian Ballet play with music by Tchaikovsky (1840-1893) considered one of the best ballet performances in the world.

Chambao Concert

- Venue: Palau de la Música, C/ Palau de la Música, 4-6.
Chambao is a Spanish musical band led by Maria del Mar Rodríguez Carnero, a singer and composer. Their music is based on flamenco melodies and rhythms mixed with electronic sounds. This time, Chambao will present their new album, “Nuevo ciclo”, inspired by travelling which smoothly combines Latin American, Andalusian and Marrocan motives with funk, reggae and even African beat.

Mobile World Congress

“Mobile World Congress” is one of the biggest mobile technologies exhibitions and the most important congresses in this area. At the end of February, professionals from all over the world yearly come to Barcelona to announce the most important mobile novelties of the current year. For example, last year Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, took part in the congress.
The event attracts not only mobile systems specialists, but the followers of all the upcoming novelties. We have included this event into the calendar with one more purpose, to let you know that by the 24th of February the majority of hotel rooms and restaurant tables will be booked. For that reason, if you or your friends plan to visit Barcelona or organize an event in the capital of Catalonia at the end of February-at the beginning of March, we advise you to start booking from now on.

Nouvelle Vague Concert

Nouvelle Vague is a French musical project led by Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux which began with an extravagant idea to create lounge and bossa nova cover versions of new-wave and post-punk songs and to make masculine hits sound more delicate and graceful by inviting different French female singers.

Football. FC Barcelona vs PSG

- Venue: Camp Nou stadium
The most interesting football event of the upcoming spring is the FC Barcelona vs PSG game. Two strongest football teams, the champions of Spain and France, are to meet face to face in a quarter-final Champions League game in the biggest stadium in Spain, Camp Nou.

“Picasso. Retratos” Exhibition

- Venue: Museu Picasso, Carrer Montcada, 15-23.
The Picasso Museum of Barcelona together with the National Portrait Gallery of London organizes the “Picasso.Retratos” exhibition. The event highlights the characteristic features of the artist´s portrayal which the author reveals throughout his life, as well as the role of caricatures in his works.

- Venue: Sant Jordi Club, Passeig Olímpic, 5-7.
A worldwide famous legendary British musician will visit Barcelona on the 21st of March and present his new "57th & 9th" album released on the 11th of November 2016. The concert starting the European tour of the musician will take place in Sant Jordi club.

- Date: 24/03/2017
- Venue: Materfad, Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, 37.
Juan Zelada, one of the most interesting young Spanish musicians (the local press describes his style as new soul) will present his latest “Back on Track” album inspired by his trip to Latin America and cooperation with a famous producer Carlos Jean.
